After years of taking inadequate photos of distant subjects with point-and-shoot cameras, I finally bit the bullet and bought a mirrorless camera with manual focus and interchangeable lenses, notably a telephoto allowing me to enlarge my bloated collection of undistinguished photos with telephoto exemplars as well as close-ups from a respectable distance, some of which follow. For those unfamiliar with Timothy grass, that insect is about 4mm long. I didn't know it was there until I saw the photo.
